Kim of Kim’s Car Radios is a qualified telecommunications/radio technician and is one of the pioneers of the Australian car audio industry, having commenced repairing, servicing and selling car audio components and accessories since early 1982, when he commenced working as the service manager for Strathfield Car Radios at a time when the industry was in its relative infancy.

Kim acquired and operated stalls selling and repairing car audio components and accessories at Flemington Markets, Sydney, Australia from 1983 to 1996.
From 1991 and operating from premises at Canley Vale, a suburb of Sydney, Kim headed a team of technicians to provide repair/service to all Strathfield Car Radios stores nationwide.

Kim’s Car Radios at 36-38 Canley Vale Road, Canley Vale commenced trading in 1995. To focus his exceptional expertise to his own business, Kim ceased work with the Strathfield Car Radios repair/service contract and gave away the stalls at Flemington Markets.

Having claimed the title of having the most diversified range of car audio components and accessories for any one store, Kim Car Radios has grown and evolved with the market from relatively simple Radio/Cassette components to the now high-tech, highly competitive specialist provider of car audio and accessories.
